The Quest events were born out of a vision to facilitate a time with God that would have life-long impact, not just a momentary mountain top experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though some refer to it as a \u201cretreat,\u201d the term doesn\u2019t do it justice with what \u201cretreat\u201d typically brings to mind. Some have called it an \u201cintensive sabbatical,\u201d a time away without distractions of our busy lives. Each person walks away describing it differently. For some, it\u2019s about their identity in Christ, others describe restoration from being spiritually dry or empty, and some have said that while on the event they found salvation and freedom. Quest has also been compared to a spiritual workout, and much like a physical workout there\u2019s warm-up, the workout itself, and cool-down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quest includes 30 days of Preparation leading up to the event. This is intended to allow appropriate time to mentally and spiritually prepare for the event through prayer, guided daily Bible study, time to get to know a little more about the attendees and staff you are going with on the event, as well as additional reading. The preparation material is sent out via email as PDF files, and communication with the ministry team is handled through email after preparation begins. <\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n

What Happens on Quest?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t

While on the event an attendee will participate in guided self-study with independent time outside, group study & Biblical teachings, worship and praise, and a day of fasting. This is done at a venue that is separated from daily distractions, which allows a person to focus on the Word of God in a way that few take time to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How many people attend an event?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Usually 18 to 25 participants attend each event, along with 5 to 8 experienced staff members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is Quest based on the Bible?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes!! We believe the Bible is the ultimate written authority, and God is the ultimate authority in all things. We strive to present scriptural basis for and during each teaching and every part of the event. We encourage proper understanding of scripture read and applied in context, so that no scripture is taken out of context and twisted to be cited incorrectly. We encourage everyone to read and study their Bible, not only as part of the event, but regularly, so that everyone is well versed in scripture and knows for themselves what is said in God\u2019s Word, not just what they\u2019ve been told it says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What church or denomination is Quest associated with?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Quest Life, Fellowship of the Sword, and Humble Glory Initiative are not directly affiliated with any specific church congregation or denomination, though we have become close friends with several different congregations in various areas over the years. The staff is comprised of members of several different denominational backgrounds. Quest is a non-denominational event, with the men\u2019s events utilizing an all-male staff, and the women\u2019s events led by an all-female staff.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n

MEN<\/strong>:
Arrival time at the venue is by 12:00 on Monday October 19 and departure is by 12:00 on Saturday October 24.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WOMEN<\/strong>:
Arrival time at the venue is by 12:00 on Monday October 26 and departure is by 12:00 on Saturday October 31.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How much does it cost?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cost to attend Quest Croatia is 375 Euros. This includes 5 nights plus meals from dinner on day of arrival through breakfast on day of departure (with one day of fasting with no meals) plus all Quest materials provided for different activities and is led by experienced staff at the same venue.\u00a0\u00a0Because the location is in a national park, there is also a one-time 2 Euro entry fee to the park required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because space is limited a 100 Euro non-refundable deposit is required to be paid 60 days prior to the start of Quest in order to secure your spot for Quest.\u00a0 The deposit is transferable if you get someone to take your spot in time to attend the same Quest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What about transportation?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All attendees and staff are responsible for getting themselves to their venue or departure point.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n
